Parameter Description
Latency The amount of time it takes for an IP packet to cross the WAN.
Packet Loss The chance of losing an IP packet while travelling through the WAN.
Packet Effects Dynamic IP packet routing effects, including out-of-order packets, duplicated packets, and IP fragmentation phenomena.
Link Faults Possible changes to bit streams and possible disconnections.
Congestion Sharp rises in WAN traffic, which may result in high latency or packet loss, or both, temporarily overriding the regular setting of latency and packet loss.
