VoIP conformance testing

Of particular interest to our customers is the conformance testing that we perform for VoIP equipment. As mentioned above these tests are split into VoIP Acoustic Performance, VoIP Voice Quality and VoIP Quality of Service.

VoIP Acoustic Performance

Measurement Description
SLR Send Loudness Rating
RLR Receive Loudness Rating
Frequency Response Measures the gain or attenuation of transmitters or receivers as a function of frequency
STMR Sidetone Masking Rating
Distortion Measures the total harmonic distortion of the transmitter and receiver (summed up to the 5th harmonic)
Noise Send Noise is the noise contributed to the line by the TE.
Receiver Noise is the noise contributed at the ear of the TE.
Acoustic Shock Measures the maximum r.m.s. output sound pressure level to ensure that it meets with standardized requirements.
