TRaC offers a type approval and project management service for a wide range of telecoms equipment to ensure that products intended for sale or use in Ukraine meet all of the necessary regulatory and compliance requirements for State Committee of Communications and Informatisation of Ukraine (STC) and the Department for Standardisation, Certification and Metrology, Ministry of Communications. 

Types of Equipment

TLTE and RF Type Approval is applicable but not necessarily limited to, data and text processing equipment, data preparation equipment, data terminal equipment, data circuit terminating equipment (for example, modems), automatic telephone answering machines, facsimile transceivers, call restriction devices, cordless telephones, digital and analogue feature telephones, lightning protection devices, line monitoring equipment and speech recorders.

Type Approval Requirements

All equipment testing is carried out in Ukraine. All foreign manufacturers who want to obtain Ukrainian type approval of telecommunications terminal equipment products must appoint a Ukrainian citizen or company to apply for and hold approval. All applicants must be registered on the local Trade Register as being professionally involved with the marketing of electronics or telecommunications equipment.

Project Management for STC and Department for Standardisation, Certification and Metrology, Ministry of Communications Certification Approvals:

For STC and Department for Standardisation, Certification and Metrology, Ministry of Communications Certification approvals, the process that TRaC can project manage includes the following services:

• Organisation of despatch of the samples to prevent delays at Customs
• Management of the testing process till type approval is complete
• Completion of all paperwork including application forms, declarations, and letters of authority to be sent to STC and Department for Standardisation, Certification and Metrology, Ministry of Communications Certification in Ukraine
• Liaison with local offices and distributors in Ukraine
• Submission of the approval applications to the Ukrainian Authorities
• Making payment for the certification on your behalf
• Ongoing liaison with the Ukrainian Authorities until type approval is granted

Testing Standards required by STC and Department for Standardisation, Certification and Metrology, Ministry of Communications Certification Approvals:

Testing must be carried out in-country to Ukrainian standards.
