£25k to £28k ( plus overtime)depending on qualifications and experience

Qualifications/Experience/Skills

• HNC, HND  or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Understanding of engineering qualification projects
• Knowledge of physical environmental testing and specifications relating to:

• Vibration, shock Temperature and Humidity, Altitude, Ingress Protection, Salt Fog, Sand and Dust, Fatigue, HALT etc
• BS EN 60068, Mil Std 810, Def Stan 00-35, RTCA

• PC skills including MS Office applications
• Demonstrated ability to work and be flexible under pressure
• Good written and verbal communication

 Job Description

1. Liaise with Customers contact, other departments, Test Engineers, Test Technicians and external suppliers
2. Plans , organizes and carries out all aspects of environmental tests in line with Test House procedures
3. Organise Test rigs and fixtures as required
4. Prepares Test Reports and Test Certificates
5. Responsible for maintaining departmental housekeeping
6. To carry out any reasonable duty as directed by your manager
