Data Acquisition

TRaC has a range of measurement instrumentation and data-logging equipment that is regularly employed to record in-service conditions such as vibration, temperature, load, displacement etc. This data acquisition is typically carried out "at site" and often involves recording a broad range of self-generated parameters on moving vehicles or rotating equipment.

TRaC also has the capability to measure the dynamic characteristics of in-service structures by employing techniques such as modal testing.

When the established environmental test specifications and standards are not appropriate or the in-service environment of a product is unknown or peculiar to a specific application, TRaC has the capability and engineering experience to instrument, measure and record "in the field" data concerning the salient environmental parameters (e.g. acceleration, temperature, strain, displacement etc).  These measured test conditions can then be re-created in the test laboratory or the parameters analysed and used to develop an accelerated life test which can be carried out on our environmental test facilities at Warwick or our satellite site at Wimborne.
