Japan - CAB (Telecoms)
The regulatory regime in Japan requires that manufacturers of telecom equipment must submit appropriate test results to a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for assessment to obtain certification.

TRaCs Telecoms division is an appointed Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for Japan and so is able to certify telecoms products to allow placement on the Japanese market.
The Japanese approval regime applies to the following Telecommunications equipment
- All Terminal Equipment for the purpose of calls
- All Terminal Equipment except Terminal Equipment for the purpose of calls
- There are now new requirements covering IP telephones
TRaC is fully accredited to the Japanese requirements and can offer a complete service for products to be certified for connection to the Japanese telecoms network.
