Commissioning of a unique global hydrodynamic ditching test facility and providing technical justifications for compromises between technical perfection, practical feasibility of the test environment, and commercial time/cost constraints, whilst working within the tight parameters of international airworthiness authorities.

ESQ Services: Defence Industry

Providing strategic framework to an alliance of international defence prime contractor for the application and implementation of CE marking directives on a major European defence project. Responsible as a Secretary of State-appointed Notified Body for establishing the appropriate selection of legislative standards to fulfil the requirements of the EMC directive, and applying appropriate technical deviations and justifications for “state of the art” devices not covered under European test standards. Responsible for ensuring the flow down of requirements to sub tier suppliers and for assessment of sub system compliance and assessment of overall compliance of the complete platform.

Delivery of a number of rationalised test and qualification strategies on various platforms to meet the urgent operational requirement (UOR) programmes for fast-tracked delivery of equipment into service. Rationalising EMC test requirements to meet specific operational conditions, and balancing the compromise between the urgent time-to-theatre without compromising specific mission critical systems. Delivering strategies in conjunction with prime contactors and steering the implementation at prime contractor system level and at sub tier LRU level.
