Chipset Partnership Program

TRaC offers a specialised conformance and interoperability testing service for multi-vendor xDSL products.

TRaC is recognised as an Independent Test Laboratory (ITL) by the Broadband Forum (formerly known as DSL Forum), and is able to provide multiple independent test facilities for xDSL interoperability. TRaC is active in the Forum's standardisation work to support multi-vendor interoperability. TRaC's laboratories are also used to obtain reference results to align chipset and CPE laboratories.

• Tightly controlled calibration of Lab facility, giving high repeatability, and reliable reference test data.
• Advice provided on setting up and ensuring repeatability at the Vendor's Lab
• Experienced xDSL engineers, reducing support requirement from Chipset Vendor.
• Availability to use non-Vendor engineering resource to test software or firmware upgrades to reference boards.
• Prioritised test scheduling for Chipset Vendor (or Vendors CPE partner) that involves the Vendors Chipset.
• Availability of TRaC test facility for urgent test requirement or when Chipset lab is unavailable (overflow lab).
• Reduction on future test fees
• Use of TRaC test facility for tracking down field problems
• Availability of overnight automated testing, providing quick turn-around.
