Testing against Broadband Forum requirements
The Broadband Forum was formerly known as the DSL Forum. It is a consortium of approximately 200 leading industry players from telecommunications, equipment, computing, networking and service provider companies. In 14 years, the Broadband Forum has moved from defining the core DSL technology to delivering maximum effectiveness in broadband deployment and use.
TRaC has been an active member of the Broadband Forum since 1999 with regular attendance at meetings and significant contributions to the technical working groups. TRaC was the first lab in the world to be recognised under the Broadband Forum Independent Test Laboratory (ITL) scheme.
TRaC can test your equipment to ensure it meets with the requirement of the following Broadband Forum Technical Reports.
TR-067 – ADSL Interoperability Test Plan
This provides a series of physical and higher layer interoperability test cases to ensure that your CPE modem can dynamically interoperate with any of the DSLAMs. TRaC can provide testing for CPE and DSLAMs against the North American and European requirements.
TR-069 – CPE WAN Management Protocol
TR-069 describes the CPE WAN Management Protocol that is intended for communication between a CPE and an Auto-Configuration Server (ACS). The CPE WAN Management Protocol defines a mechanism that encompasses secure auto-configuration of a CPE, and also incorporates other CPE management functions into a common framework. As well as testing the TR-069 protocol, TRaC offers certification against ACS manufacturers such as Motorola.
TR-100 – ADSL2/ADSL2plus performance test plan
TR-100 describes performance and interoperability test cases required for ADSL2 / ADSL2plus CPE and DSLAMs. TRaC can provide testing for CPE and DSLAMs against the North American and European requirements.
TR-060 – Interop Test Plan for SHDSL
TR-060 provides a series of physical layer tests to ensure your equipment can interoperate with other SHDSL equipment.
Interop test plan for VDSL2
Although the Broadband Forum's TR document is currently under development, TRaC can offer testing against various test plans to ensure your VDSL2 equipment will interoperate.
