Safety Compliance
Is it time you dusted off your technical files and reviewed that all your documentation is up to date and ready for the year ahead!
A key aspect of CE Marking is continued conformance for this reason it is vital that you keep your Technical Files and Declaration of Conformities up to date. Maybe the Directive has changed or the test specification amended, either way the safety division at TRaC can help.
As a Notified Body under the Low Voltage Directive and Machinery Safety Directive, TRaC can provide guidance and technical support on the current directives and standards which need to be applied to your product.
The Low Voltage Directive (2006/95/EC as it is now known) was amended in 2007 whilst the Machinery Safety Directive (98/37/EC as it is currently know) is just over a year away from a fairly dramatic make over. This has resulted in a number of the key standards, such as EN 1050 and EN 954 being replaced.
TRaC provide safety audits that are tailored to your needs. This can range from checking the validity of your Declaration of Conformity, reviewing your Technical Documentation File through to a basic safety evaluation of your product. The safety audit is designed to give manufacturers that extra level of confidence when making or updating their CE Marking declaration.
