New Centre of Excellence for TRaC Hull

As part of the ongoing investment in enhanced facilities at TRaC, TRaC has established a new centre of excellence in Hull. A full suite of services is now available from the centre, including worldwide approvals, telecoms, wireless, EMC, safety and environmental testing and certification.

The new facilities are needed to meet the requirements of rapidly changing technology and the continual updating of regulation and regulatory standards.

Paul Russell, Managing Director of telecoms & radio for TRaC, says: "Customers from across the globe can put their products into our facility at one end and they will exit at the other having undergone a complete suite of regulatory and performance testing. Our 'single site solution' enables us to shorten the testing cycle for customers, which has a direct impact on the overall cost of placing a product on any given market."

Products ranging from small telephones to large network infrastructure equipment can be fully installed and tested at the centre. TRaC'S skilled approvals team monitors the progress of testing, helping to align the manufacturer's design and launch schedule with the testing requirements. They will advise on what is required, complete relevant documentation submissions and schedule in-country testing (if required) - dealing with the challenges, which naturally arise when managing and controlling communication with a number of different countries. Their expertise and streamlined approach keeps customers' time to market as short as possible.
