Five Tier Safety Service

TRaC's safety services are offered as a series of support choices. This tier structure approach provides at least one suitable option which will fit all budgets and ensure that safety compliance requirements are not compromised or neglected

As an LVD Notified Body, National Certification Body (NCB) for Safety, IECEE accredited Certification Body Test Laboratory (CBTL), and North American NRTL partner laboratory; TRaC is ideally placed to provide testing and documentation support to ensure products are electrically safe and suitable for placement onto the world markets.

Additionally, it is possible that there may be instances where products compliance status with respect to Low Voltage Directive (LVD) needs to be verified, in order to ensure:

  • correct documentation is in place, which includes references to the correct Directives and test standards
  • any in-house electrical safety testing has been performed correctly
  • the information in the standards have also been interpreted correctly
  • all safety testing for the markets of choice have been considered and applied.

TRaC can provide a selection of service options which are tailored to the individual requirements of the customer providing the most cost effective solution which adequately covers the legal and regulatory requirements

Tier 1 – Documentation review

Tier 2 – Basic safety assessment (pre-compliance)

Tier 3 – Full LVD testing for CE marking

Tier 4 – Full LVD and North American approval (or IECEE CB certification in place of NRTL approval)

Tier 5 – Full LVD, CB and North American approval
